What is the "Principles" Course?
Advanced Rail Management and Interface Journal are proud to present the "Principles of Wheel/Rail Interaction," a one-day course that will be held on May 7, 2007 (in conjunction with the 13th annual Wheel/Rail Interaction Seminar on May 8 - 9), at the Marriott O'Hare in Chicago.
This intensive, full-day course will provide in-depth examination of the primary aspects wheel/rail, vehicle/track interaction. Drawing from both theory and practical application, the course will cover contact mechanics, vehicle suspension, wheelset curving, track geometry, friction management, wheel/rail profiles and more—all of the elements that are required to promote a more complete understanding of vehicle/track dynamics and wheel/rail interaction.
Whether you are a novice railroader or an industry veteran, the "Principles of Wheel/Rail Interaction" course will provide a valuable cross-disciplinary perspective on the fundamental aspects of this dynamic area of railroading.
Certificates of completion will be awarded to all attendees. (Continuing Education Credit is also available.)
